Dr. Richard Epstein has more than three decades of experience as a medical professional. Between 1981 and 1989, he practiced as an anesthesiologist at Associated Anesthesia Services in Washington, DC, ultimately rising to the position of senior cardiac anesthesiologist. He later spent 25 years as administrative office director and director of outpatient anesthesia for Physicians Anesthesia Associates, PC, in Towson, Maryland. Along with serving as an anesthesiologist, he oversaw various administrative responsibilities at this practice. More recently, Dr. Richard Epstein treated patients as a staff member of American Anesthesia, also located in Towson.
Dr. Epstein graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in premed from the University of Maryland before enrolling in the university’s School of Medicine. After finishing in the top 15 percent of his class, he went on to complete internal medicine and anesthesia residencies at Emory University and a cardiac anesthesia fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.
